Scott TullochScott Tulloch is largely self-taught, and works in a variety of styles and mediums, from highly realistic wildlife in watercolour to wacky pen and ink cartoons.
It was during his travels abroad that Scott decided to make a career in art. In 1994 he established his own art and illustration business, “Whitsunday Watercolours”, in tropical North Queensland.
In 1997 Scott returned to New Zealand to take up position as Artist in Residence at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, in the central South Island.
In 1999 he established his own art gallery, The Martinborough Gallery and Studio.
Since then Scott has focused on his desire to illustrate books. He devoted the year of 2004 to studying Illustration at the Massey College of Design, Fine Arts and Music, and has been rewarded with several contracts to write and illustrate his own books for HarperCollins Publishers (NZ) Ltd.
